About

In celebration of the 2024 Brisbane Fashion Festival, Queensland Ballet and the Thomas Dixon Centre are delighted to share A Legacy Lives On – Life, Art and Influence of Coco Chanel Panel Discussion.

Join Alison Kubler, Paul Hunt, Cathie Reid AM and special guests for an engaging panel discussion reflecting on the intersection and influence that cultural and societal changes have on art, fashion, design, and performance. Highlighting the heavy influence that Coco Chanel had on art and history, this is a moment to stop, celebrate and marvel on the continued legacy of a fashion icon.

Experience the evolving sphere of art, culture, fashion, design, and performance as they beautifully intersect at the Thomas Dixon Centre, home of Queensland Ballet. Arrive with time to enjoy a sneak preview into Queensland Ballet’s Costume department as the staff conceptualise and create the costumes for the Company’s upcoming productions.

Your ticket includes exclusive pre-event entry into the Queensland Ballet Costume department, glass of Moët & Chandon paired with Appellation Coffin Bay Oysters on arrival and a seat in the Talbot Theatre for a riveting panel discussion. Further refreshments and canapés by Southside Restaurant will be provided on conclusion of the panel discussion in the Theatre Foyer and Ian Potter Promenade.
