About

Albany Creek State High School presents their 2025 Dance Showcase with Year 7 to 12 Dance students and students from the Program of Excellence Dance in a showcase of Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz and Musical Theatre Dance performances. Students will perform new choreographic works and dance performances from the Sydney, Brisbane and Toowoomba Dance Eisteddfods across three shows at the Thomas Dixon Centre, West End.

The talent and artistry of the students in our excellence programs, performance teams and curriculum dance classes will culminate into spectacular performances not to be missed.

Our Students Award Winning Achievements:

Dance Excellence students achieved 1st Place in the Contemporary, Jazz and Musical Theatre Sections at the Sydney and Brisbane Dance Eisteddfod in 2025
Year 12 Dance Students achieved 1st Place in the Senior Lyrical Dance Section at the Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge in 2025

Evening performances: duration approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, including one 20 minute interval
Matinee performance: duration approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes, including one 15 minute interval

Filming and photography is not permitted during the performance

Albany Creek State High School

Albany Creek State High School is an Independent Public School located 15 kilometers north of Brisbane. The school has a current enrolment of approximately 1600 students and offers Dance Curriculum from Year 7 to 12 including General Dance and Certificate III/IV in the senior school. Dance students can also audition for our Program of Excellence Dance that offers elite Dance Training for students in Contemporary.
