Discover the beautiful harmony of Opera and Persian Contemporary Music

Woman Life Freedom Charity Concert

Woman Life Freedom charity concert is a captivating fusion of opera and Persian contemporary melodies, promising an evening of enchanting performances that will resonate in your heart forever.

Join us in making a real difference! Your presence will contribute directly to fundraising efforts aimed at aiding freedom-fighters affected by the Woman Life Freedom movement. Every ticket purchased brings us closer to helping these courageous individuals in their pursuit of justice and liberty.

Let the universal language of music bring us all together for a purpose greater than ourselves. This is more than just a concert; it’s a call to action, an opportunity to stand in solidarity with those who need our support the most.

Dr Hootan Shah Hosseini (Tenor): Hootan has been training and taking regular private lessons for almost 10 years. He was taught by many well known Australian Opera singers. He calls himself “Hootan the Singing Vet” and has done several public performances from charity concerts and fundraisers, to a few small Opera roles.

Mrs Katy Turbitt (Soprano): Katy has performed extensively as a principal artist with Melbourne’s own opera fusion company, Emotionworks Cut Opera in various roles. As a current member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chorus Katy’s performed on many of Melbourne’s main stages and regularly sings in more intimate recitals.

Mr Misagh Zamani (Pianist): Misagh started learning music on Tonbak (Persian drum) at a very young age, but he is trained in classical piano. He is a medical Sonographer by day, but he has performed for Iranian celebrities and singers in their Australian tours. He likes to perform with unique, rare, and unusual instruments. He wants his music to be “the voice of abandoned cultures, buried histories, and forgotten arts”.
