About

Grumpy green ogre Shrek is determined to protect the peace of his swamp… that is, until a group of exiled fairytale characters arrives, begging for help. Joined by an endlessly enthusiastic Donkey, Shrek sets off to confront Lord Farquaad, a tyrant set on ridding his land of “freaks” and “monsters”. Along the way he must rescue Princess Fiona, who’s not your traditional damsel in distress…

Communication in Action proudly presents this lively retelling of a much-loved DreamWorks film. Perfect for families and theatre-goers of all ages, Shrek the Musical offers an afternoon of fantastical fairytale fun in the beautiful surrounds of the Thomas Dixon Centre. Join our young performers as they transform the stage into the world of Far, Far Away!

Communication in Action (CIA) is a Brisbane-based speech, drama and public speaking studio specialising in developing confident, articulate young performers. Through weekly classes, workshops and productions, CIA combines high-quality training with a supportive, imaginative environment. Students regularly excel in AMEB examinations and productions, building skills in communication, storytelling and stagecraft.
