Fiji Untold is a raw, high-octane theatrical powerhouse bringing ancient Pacific legends to life. Performed by the globally acclaimed VOU Dance Fiji, this 90-minute masterpiece fuses explosive contemporary choreography with thunderous live drumming and breathtaking athletic energy. Follow Lagi, an outcast plunged into a mystical underworld ruled by shape-shifting Iguana Spirits, eerie Octopus Gods, and powerful Giant Women. It’s a captivating story of identity and strength told through some of the most intense physical theatre you will ever see live.

Tailor-made for the stage, the production pairs immersive lighting and visual projections with a booming acoustic experience. Perfect for families, couples, and theatre lovers of all ages, the energy shifts the moment the lights dim. VOU Dance Fiji

VOU Dance Fiji is the country’s leading contemporary dance company, sharing Pasifika stories on stages around the world, including the MET, the Hamilton Arts Festival, and beyond. Behind every performance is a life transformed.

Every artist you’ll meet is a graduate of the VOU Conservatorium of Dance, where 20 fully funded tertiary scholarships are awarded each year, enabling young Fijians to complete a Diploma in Dance and build sustainable careers in the creative industries. This year, those same artists will make history as the first Fijian dance company to tour Australia for five months with their own productions.

Take a guided Auslan tour through the revitalised Thomas Dixon Centre, led by our Deaf guide, visionary co-founder and CEO of Sign-How, Sophie Li. Rich in history, art and creativity, this 1.5 hour engagement will take you through this stunningly refurbished heritage building, the old and the new, uncovering stories from the original boot making factory days to its present incarnation as home of Queensland Ballet.
