Centre Stage – Dangerous Liaisons
Take Centre Stage at the Thomas Dixon Centre’s Talbot Theatre. Gain an appreciation for the behind-the-scenes magic of ballet and join us for a Dangerous Liaisons inspired ballet and adapted repertoire class.
About
Adults of all skill levels are invited to take part in a ballet class in our Company’s Hero Studio – the Li Cunxin Studio – an area of the Thomas Dixon Centre not generally accessible or open to members of the community.
You’ll learn adapted repertoire from Liam Scarlett’s daring Dangerous Liaisons with Queensland Ballet Teaching Artists, immersing yourself into the characters and vivid world of this production. From there, you will head into the Talbot Theatre to see the set and props up close, as we reveal insights into the production and the artistic process undertaken to bring Dangerous Liaisons to the stage. After your time in the Talbot Theatre, you will enjoy a complimentary coffee, tea or juice at the Talbot Theatre Bar as you connect with your fellow participants. We will conclude our experience by returning the Li Cunxin Studio for the opportunity to view our Young Artists’ Company class, as they prepare for their matinée performance.
